That’s a great cop out, but it just isn’t true.

The Republican party is responsible for pushing for the deregulation of financial markets. This has been a piece of the party platform for decades, so don’t even bother denying it.

President Bush is responsible for his executive branch warrantless wiretapping program. This is something congress as a whole didn’t even know about for at least a year after it’s inception.

President Bush and his cabinet personally pushed the Iraq war, ignoring evidence from the CIA that disproved their claims.

And all of this happened during a time in which the Republicans controlled congress.

Anyone who supports the Republican party (I won’t say conservative movement because that can mean so many things) today is either woefully ignorant of how they’ve looted and degraded this country or someone who’s been doing the looting and degrading.

Wrecked our economy? Check
Pissed all over the constitution? Check
Started a pointless war? Check
Used said pointless war to enrich friends? Check
Diluted the value of our currency to the point where other countries are moving away from it? Check

You can just go on and on like that.

Yeah, just now I fear that Wall St is helping themselves to quite a bit.

Grow up, I’m a conservative and the Republicans have lost it. Obama is prudent, a student of the Federalist papers. WTF is McCain and that “Russian” chick Palin?? Republicans for decades have spent more AND they tax more. What? You don’t believe a lower currency a huge budget deficit and this bailout aren’t coming out of your wealth? I’d rather be taxed more up front than lose it due to this kind of cronyism on the sly.

Republicans have their hands in my front and back pockets now. They need to lose big time and then maybe something will come back. They are total con jobs right now.

I don’t care who or what you are, but it seems most people pigeonhole themselves into these stupid labels and then stereotype everyone based on them, like they know someone or something. Grow up people, you are not your political affiliation. Americans have so many choices in life, from the car they buy, to the career they choose, but refuse to treat themselves to any decent political choices, and leave themselves with two, TWO very pathetic choices.
